We open digitally!

With the digital opening you will get first insights into the comprehensive exhibition Mother Tongue by Camille Henrot with numerous new works, including a larger-than-life bronze sculpture. Let yourself be impressed Susan Hillers video work Lost and Found about language as an expression of cultural communities.

Also explore our new formats: Sharon Lockhart plays on our façade with neon lettering that inspires hope. Moyra Davey's film My Saints kicks off our Shifting Present project space.

The planned sound installation by Diamanda Galás is postponed to a later date due to the current Corona situation.

You are welcomed by our director Adam Budak and Dr. Hinrich Holm, first Chairman. Curators Julika Bosch and Lea Altner will give short thematic introductions to the exhibitions by Camille Henrot and Susan Hiller. Ulrike Schneider, Visual Arts Officer, Niedersächsische Sparkassenstiftung, and Dietrich Werner, Chairman of the Board of the VHV Foundation, welcome as sponsors of the exhibition by Camille Henrot. Our art mediator Luise Wickbe will moderate the event.

Make yourself at home with a drink and join us.

You can join our polls and ask us questions in chat via Zoom. The opening will also be streamed live on our You Tube channel. Registration is not required.
