Children's vernissage

Welcome and Bring your Ding! to the second children's vernissage at the Kestner Gesellschaft!

We are celebrating the opening of the new exhibitions for children and their favorite adults with D.I.Y. activities and material experiments in front of the artworks and in the new Passage room. The Bring your Ding! campaign starts at home: we are collecting objects for the art workshops accompanying the exhibitions. Take a look around and bring things you no longer need - spoons, cassettes, CDs, cups, plates or cuddly toys. It's good for the environment because we don't buy anything new, and it helps us to find different and exciting objects. Every thing tells a story, just like the everyday objects in the exhibition by artist Jack O'Brien. You can chill out and marvel on comfortable Thai cushions. The video works by artist Som Supaparinya take you on a journey to major rivers in Thailand. Immerse yourself in creative worlds with light and water experiments!

There is a D.I.Y. poster for you to discover the exhibitions and get creative yourself. You can take the poster with you as a souvenir!
