COVID-19 prevention

The health of our visitors is important to us. Please note the following requirements:

  • The 3G rule applies (vaccinated, recovered, tested; PCR test not older than 48 hours or rapid test not older than 24 hours).
  • The 3G rule does not apply to children under 6 years of age or to students who are regularly tested as part of a mandatory school testing program.
  • Mouth nose protection is required (medical or FFP2 mask).
  • Registration is not necessary.
  • Please keep the distance of 1.5 m to other persons.

On public holidays 11 a. m – 6 p. m.: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, May 1 (Labour Day), German Unification Day, Reformation Day, second Christmas Day
Closed on: Christmas Eve, first Christmas Day, New Year's Eve

Entrance Fee

Single ticket: 7 Euro / reduced 5 Euro
Group ticket (up to 6 persons): 4 Euro p.p.
Members, ADKV-members, children up to 14 years: free admission
Every Friday: free admission

Reduced admission for people with disabilities, the unemployed, artists (members of the Federal Association of Visual Artists) and for holders of the GALOREcard, the AboPlus card of the HAZ, the Hannover-Aktiv-Pass as well as with the NDR Kulturkarte. With your admission ticket you can come back as often as you like during the corresponding exhibition period.

by foot from the main station

By foot it takes a maximum of ten minutes from the train station along the Kurt-Schumacher-Straße to Steintor.

Travelling on the A2, take the exit Herrenhausen, follow the expressway in the direction of Zentrum, via Königsworther Platz, exit in Otto-Brenner-Straße in the direction of Steintor.

Accessibility

The Kestner Gesellschaft is almost barrier-free for visitors with limited mobility. Access is via a ramp, there is an elevator in the building and a barrier-free toilet.

WLAN

At our reception you will receive a code for free WLAN in the whole house. WLAN is made possible by the Hannoversche Volksbank.

Our new Café Tender Buttons offers speciality coffees and an exclusive express roast from Café Cereza. In our store you will find a fine selection of international magazines and books curated with our cooperation partner do you read me?!. In addition, there are art editions, t-shirts, bags and much more.
