Queer(feministisch)e Ausstellungsgeschichte. Anhaltspunkte, Leerstellen und Perspektiven
with Dr. Fiona McGovern
Fiona McGovern's lecture outlines approaches and possibilities for a queer (feminist) exhibition history. Referring to selected archival materials in the context of Passage II. Disruptive Continua and existing institutional histories of the Kestner Gesellschaft, she questions how gaps are dealt with and opens up a discussion on potential points of reference for queer historiography and perspectives that go beyond this exhibition project.
Fiona McGovern is an art historian and curator. She teaches at Ruhr University Bochum and works on topics including exhibition history, institutional critique, and queer and interdisciplinary approaches in the arts since the 1960s.
