Finissage
Exhibition Program Summer 2025
To mark the end of the exhibitions Underwater Haze, thereafter, and The Rivers They Don’t See, there will be a closing event with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Friederike Nastold on queer ecologies at 3 pm, followed by a tour of the exhibition with Alexander Wilmschen at 4 pm.
In Underwater Haze, Trevor Yeung addresses physical and emotional alienation, care, and the question of the potential of overgrowth—as a reaction or strategy within controlled systems. In his works in thereafter, Ian Waelder explores the limits of memory: family traces, biographical breaks, everyday remnants—not as evidence, but as fragile carriers of a history that eludes linear narration. In The Rivers They Don’t See, Som Supaparinya highlights the political and ecological significance of Southeast Asian rivers.
