Closing
To mark the closing of Richard Hawkins’s solo exhibition Potentialities, Kestner Gesellschaft invites visitors to a finissage featuring a lecture by curator and writer Anya Harrison, guided tours, and a families’ workshop.
Hawkins’s artistic practice is rooted in the pleasure of close looking, meticulous—even delightfully nerdy—research, and the interplay of fan culture and desire. “Potentialities” brings together works from 8 bodies of work, including paintings, sculptures, ceramic reliefs, and AI-generated videos.
Program:
12 pm: Guided tour with Leonie Funke
3 pm: On the Other Side of the Skin: The Monstrous and the Abject. Lecture & Conversation with Anya Harrison, moderated by Alexander Wilmschen
