In Metaphern die Welt entdecken: G. W. Leibniz und Min Yoon (Discovering the Wor
The South-Korean artist Min Yoon explores the relationship in which one thing (A) can stand for another thing (B). A house is a building, and it is a symbol of protection and belonging; this relationship of similarity reflects the various levels that make up our experiences. G. W. Leibniz, too, used the figurative language of metaphors to clarify complex issues or to lighten dry arguments. For him, a pond, a labyrinth, and a ship become metaphors for understanding human existence in the world.
