Event Series: Ukraine. Art and Culture in the Shadow of War
Young Ukrainian Video Art

On display are video works by Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Himey (Kolomyya, Kyiv), Daniil Revkovskiy and Andriy Rachinsliy (Kharkiv), Dana Kavelina (Melitopol, Kyiv), Nikolay Karabinovych (Odessa) and Jan Bačynskyj (Lviv).
The presentation deals with questions of identity and the relationship to the past through mass media, found footage, archives as well as personal and family histories. The lecture is in cooperation with the PinchukArtCentre, Kyiv.
Moderated by Ksenia Malykh in English. The film presentation is with English subtitles.
Ksenia Malykh holds a degree in Art History from the National Academy of Art and Architecture in Kyiv. She works as an art historian, curator, researcher and head of the research platform of the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv. She is also co-founder and curator of the Closer Art Center (Kyiv) and was director of the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale.
