Gabriele Sand worked as a curator and head of the education and outreach department at the Sprengel Museum Hannover until 2022. From 1994 to 2020, she taught modern art history at HBK Braunschweig and Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. She oversaw numerous exhibitions and publications on contemporary art.
