Language is a tool for understanding, but it can also exclude or repeat prejudices until we no longer question them. How we use language in our everyday lives has an enormous impact on (stereotypical) notions of gender. We will talk about justice, power structures and linguistic discrimination with Prof. Dr. Gabriele Diewald, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Altendorf and Prof. Dr. Lidia Becker from Leibniz Universität Hannover as part of the LinguA3 seminar.
