Der fingierte Körper. Das Imaginäre – Das Symbolische – Das Reale

Like biography, identity, and the body, the concepts of the imaginary, the symbolic, and the real are closely linked and play a central role in contemporary art. They are examined in artistic practice to gain and present insights into human existence, self-perception, and social and societal contexts. For the two artists Paloma Varga Weisz and Monilola Olayemi Ilupeju, this examination is a driving force behind their artistic work. Questioning, demonstrating, and presenting the different approaches of the two artists based on the exhibited works is the theme of the guided tour.
