Artist Talk with Paloma Varga Weisz
with Alexander Wilmschen and Gabriele Sand

The exhibition Multiface presents works from three decades by the artist Paloma Varga Weisz. The show looks at her artistic discussions, her themes and ideas, which are represented in sculptures, installations, drawings and watercolors.
The conversation aims to put the artistic work into a dialogue and focus on questions about biographical and art historical contexts, materials and techniques and, above all, one's own artistic intention.
Paloma Varga Weisz is a sculptor, draughtswoman, and painter. She often creates hybrid creatures of human and animal and addresses fundamental questions of human existence: identity, memory, vulnerability, and transformation.
Alexander Wilmschen works as Interim-Director and Curator at the Kestner Gesellschaft. He studied philosophy and art history in a global context in Düsseldorf and Berlin. He works as a curator, author, and art historian in Hanover and Berlin.
Gabriele Sand is Head of Art Education (Interim) at the Kestner Gesellschaft.
