melaTONin. A sleep cycle in music and space

The trio.s. presents a special concert in Hall 1: The title of the concert "melaTONin" goes back to the sleep hormone of the same name. The audience will be immersed in experimental sound experiences reminiscent of different phases of the sleep cycle: the falling asleep, light sleep, deep sleep and REM phases can be found as musical translations in a unique conception of space, sound, text and video installation. Each sleep phase is artistically interpreted in its own unique way. This creates a symbiosis of folk and art songs, poetry and text. trio s. consists of two deep female voices and an accordion.

trio.s was founded in 2015, since then the musicians have given many concerts. The trio won the first prize at the International Open Accordion Contest in Trossingen and the audience award of the Sparda-Bank at the festival "Klassik in der Altstadt". In addition, the musicians received a scholarship from the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation LiveMusicNow Hannover e.V.. The trio also cooperates with the "Betreuungsnetzwerk für schwerkranke Kinder e.V.".
