Virgin, Victim, Monster - The Horror of Femininity in Literature
An interactive guided tour in German

Femininity and the Horror Genre are inseparably linked on a multitued of planes. Going from the groundbreaking innovations of writers, to the feminine body as a projection surface, to female characters being put into boxes: Women (*) experience, express and tell horrors in their very own way. Something that can not only be observed in literature but also in many pieces of the current exhibitions. In this guided tour, Elisa Margaux will give a small introduction into the classic and contemporary Horror literature, giving not only a stage to feminist minds but also to a Genre often disregarded as shallow.
